Customer Identity Authentication

Effective date: 29 October 2026

Verifying who is asking

To protect your telecommunications service and account from unauthorised changes, Bunnji will verify the identity of the person making a request before carrying out a high-risk account transaction. This may include requests to transfer a number, replace a SIM, change account details or authorised contacts, or access account information.

What we may ask you to do

We may ask you to complete an identity check, which could include multi-factor authentication. If you cannot complete the usual check, tell us so we can discuss an alternative process.

Protect yourself from scams

Never share a verification code from your bank or another organisation. Bunnji will not ask you to transfer money to a “safe” account or install remote-access software.

If you suspect that your Bunnji service or account has been affected by fraud, report it immediately to both Bunnji and your bank or financial institution.
